Bike of the day: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

Kawasaki have enjoyed a purple patch in WSB racing, however that wasn’t always the case and today’s bike of the day celebrates the first ZX-10R to win a WSB race.

The 2006 ZX-10R wasn’t the most popular of generations as it was a bit fatter and less wild than the original ZX-10R, and its underseat pipes earned it the unfavourable nickname of ‘the wheelbarrow.’

But against all odds, Chris Walker won a very wet race on the ZX-10R at Assen in 2006 and brought Kawasaki their first litre bike race win. It was one amazing ride…

In the used market, prices for this generation are starting to creep up. It’s no longer unpopular and it doesn’t take much to turn this slightly lardy Ninja into a full on Bruce Lee!
